When Albie's mum dies, it's natural he should wonder where she's gone. His parents are both scientists and they usually have all the answers. Dad mutters something about Albie's mum being alive and with them in a parallel universe. So Albie finds a box, his mum's computer and a rotting banana, and sends himself through time and space to find her.

Reviews

Sofia - Minster School - 2017

It was really, really sad. Also it was sad when he realises his Mum is actually always going to be dead! It was soulful.

Freya - Minster School - 2017

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because of the heart of the main character Albie. With his great passion to find his Mum, he uses her old computer, a mouldy banana and a cardboard box to travel from one world to another, trying to find her, but faces challenges along the way.

Asher - Minster School - 2017

I thought that it was an OK plot, albeit a bit confusing with quantum computers and bananas... I'm not even going to try to explain it! I thought it was a great book with a fantastic (and emotionally crippling) ending. I particularly liked Alba (a parallel universe version of Albie), as I thought her character was great!

Liza - Minster School - 2017

I enjoyed the book because the obscurity of the events, and how a banana, box and a computer could help you to time travel! My favourite character was Alba as she was so positive despite her disability.

Kate - Minster School - 2017

I really enjoyed this book and it is quite sad but happy at the same time. I like it when Albie goes into all the different versions of his life.

Elena - Minster School - 2017

I really enjoyed this book, which was sad yet happy too. It was hard to put the book down, I couldn't put it away, I was up till 10.30pm one night trying to finish it!
